Seasonal Community Support

Self-care isn’t something you do alone. It’s a community effort, where support from experts and peers can provide the insight, accountability, and resources to expand our perspectives on health and offer more paths to healing. 

The Self-Care Sangha is a community rooted in the systems of yoga, Ayurveda, and herbalism designed to provide you with seasonal support to achieve your health goals. Each seasonal cohort will span four months, corresponding to the doshic seasons of Ayurveda. Together, we’ll learn about the qualities of each season and how to adjust diet, lifestyle, and movement choices even while keeping your individual needs in mind. At the heart of the program is dinacharya—the Ayurvedic daily routine—which emphasizes hygiene and nourishment of the sense organs to optimize mind-body harmony, prevent and relieve burnout, and improve our ability to make choices (big and small) that support our long-term health and contentment. Creating new rituals and routines every season can be one of the more challenging aspects of an Ayurvedic lifestyle, but when we flow with change together, we’ll all rise with the tide.

To establish continuity and accountability, the cohort will be a commitment—to yourself and each other; I won’t require attendance but highly encourage regular participating in meetings and the online forum.  But since life happens and schedules don’t always align, you’ll have access to all the materials for the entire season plus 1 month so you can refresh and revisit concepts relevant to you.

Self-care is a ripple with you at the center.

Monthly 1-hour zoom calls with a presentation on seasonal practices and theory, Q&A, and community discussion

Seasonal yoga class (90 min)

Yoga is a dynamic practice for working with the mind. Our seasonal sessions will include asana, pranayama, and meditation practices that align with the gunas of the season to support clarity and harmony in the mental channels, which run throughout the entire body, as well as strength and suppleness in the physical body for optimal functional movement, digestion, sleep, immunity, and reproductive balance.
