Ayurveda & Menopause: Embracing the Wisdom Years

While Western culture approaches menopause like a disease, stifiling “symptoms” with drugs and shaming them with cultural taboos, Ayurveda sees is as a normal stage of life that doesn’t have to overwhelm you with discomfort, and even be a source of joy and reflection. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the physical, mental, and emotional changes that take place as a woman moves into her vata stage of life (aka “wisdom years”), and explore different practices, foods and recipes, herbs and teas, and other rituals that can support this significant time of life. Whether you’re years away from menopause, in the middle of it, or have it in your rear view mirror, this workshop will give you valuable tools that will help you make mindful choices for your long-term health that prevent and work with any imbalances you experience, regarding your hormonal health and beyond.
